Rehman attends Napier Primary and Nursery school community meeting

Friday 5 March 2010. Rehman today attended Napier Primary school (his old Primary school) community meeting looking at ideas from the community for the new development.  Rehman was delighted to be on a table with Mrs Buthcher, Mrs Unswell and Mrs Gilbert, former students and current parents, who had some fantastic ideas for the future development for the school. Ideas discussed included extending sports facilities linked to a local football club and providing cricket, hockey, performing arts facilities, facilities for the local elderly residents, a police contact point, dental health care facilities, internet facilities, and extending the green garden growing vegetables (just some of the ideas team came up with).

Rehman commented ‘I congratulate the school in organising an excellent event, and the Children’s video presentation was excellent. I thank the headteacher, staff, students and parents for organising an excellent meeting. I look forward to working with them in the future’.
