Rehman has teamed up with the Gills’ charity partner for his next half marathon challenge.
Rehman has pledged to raise funds for Take Heart Mercy Mission in his 10th charity run in February.
Take Heart Mercy Mission works to save the lives of young people with serious heart conditions in Sri Lanka.
It was set up in 2012 by Gillingham Football Club chairman Paul Scally and builds on the work carried out by Evelina London Children’s Hospital over the past decade.
Since 2002, over 160 children have been operated on and more than a thousand children have been scanned thanks to the charity work in Sri Lanka. Gillingham Football Club has since adopted the charity as their new partner.
Rehman will be taking part in the Headcorn half marathon on Sunday 15 February 2015.
Donations for Take Heart Mercy Mission can be made through the Virgin Money Giving site - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RehmanChishti
Previously he has run in support of St Margaret's church roof fund, Gillingham Hands and Age Concern Medway.
In August he completed the Canterbury half marathon in his best time, raising £500 for Home-Start Medway.
Rehman said: "Take Heart Mercy Mission does fantastic work to help children in need, and I know that it is a charity close to the heart of the Gills and the chairman Paul Scally.
"It is a privilege to assist the charity by running a half marathon to help to raise funds and I would like to set a new record in my tenth run for charity."
