Rehman is calling on local budding entrepreneurs to consider applying for Start-Up Loans to get their businesses off the ground.
The Government backed scheme funds and mentors people looking to start their own business.
So far more than £285,000 of loans have been made to people in Medway, with fifteen entrepreneurs in Gillingham and Rainham having received more than £88,000, according to the latest figures.
Nationally, over 20,000 Start-Up Loans, worth more than £100million, have now been awarded.

It is one of the initiatives the Government has introduced to encourage more people to set up their own business. Others include the New Enterprise Allowance which assists job-seekers to start their own ventures.
