Rehman Chishti MP presented local pupils and teachers with school equipment at Gillingham Tesco store on Friday (16 November 2012).
Students from local schools, including Hempstead County Infant, Woodlands Primary, St Thomas of Canterbury Primary and Fairview Community Primary, will benefit from new educational, learning and sporting equipment under the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme.
This year Tesco for Schools and Clubs is celebrating its 21st anniversary, having provided more than 45,000 schools and clubs with over £185 million of equipment.
Last year in Gillingham and Rainham 87 schools and clubs collected 957,262 vouchers and 75 of them ordered equipment worth more than £25,000.
Rehman said:
