
On Thursday (9 May 2013) the Gillingham and Rainham Constituency Association re-adopted Rehman Chishti MP as their parliamentary candidate for the 2015 General Election.
The Chairman of the Gillingham and Rainham Constituency Conservative Association, John Amey said:
"The Chairman of the Gillingham & Rainham Constituency Conservative Association, Mr John Amey, is pleased to announce that Rehman Chishti MP has been re-adopted as the Association's parliamentary candidate for the 2015 General Election.
"The decision to re-adopt Rehman was made at a meeting of the Association's Executive Committee held on 9th May. His reselection was a just reward for the hard work and dedication to the Constituency that he had shown. We look forward to working with Rehman in order to secure his re-election."
Member of Parliament for Gillingham and Rainham, Rehman Chishti MP said:
"I am delighted to be selected by the Gillingham and Rainham Conservative Association, as their parliamentary candidate for the 2015 General Election. It is a huge honour and privilege to represent my party, in my home towns of Gillingham and Rainham, I am grateful to everyone for the support and advice they have given me.
