Rehman is seeking your support to protect the sites of three ships lost during the First World War.
He has set up a petition, to ask the Government to designate HMS Cressy, HMS Hogue and HMS Aboukir under the Protection of Military Remains Act. These were lost off the Dutch coast and saw the loss of 1,459 Chatham based sailors.
This comes as the Government has confirmed that the ships have been included on a list under consideration, after Rehman raised the issue in Parliament.
The petition is available on the Change.org website - https://www.change.org/p/uk-ministry-of-defence-grant-protection-to-the…
Rehman said: “It would be a fitting tribute to give these ships protected status, and I would encourage you to sign the petition so that we can ensure they are included by the Government.”
