Rehman attends 'The Point Conference' in Medway on knife crime

As a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee and local MP, Rehman attended 'The Point Conference' on youth engagement and knife crime, organised by the wonderful Reverends Nathan Ward and Jonathan Jennings from St Margaret's Church Rainham, in partnership with the Diocese of Rochester.

Rehman visited his old school, Rainham Mark Grammar, and met Year 10 students taking part in Google’s #BeInternetCitizens programme, where they learn about media literacy, critical thinking and digital citizenship, with the aim of encouraging young people to have a positive voice online.

Rehman held his regular MP Street Surgery on Saturday in Twydall, listening to residents views on a variety on topics, including Brexit and opposition to the proposed development on Sturry Park, which Rehman fully opposes.

Rehman attended the Leigh Academy Rainham School public exhibition plans at the Millennium Centre in Rainham. The exhibition gave Rehman and local residents the opportunity to hear more about Leigh Academy's plans and ask any questions they have.

Rehman raises issue of hospital radios licensing facing Medway Hospital

Rehman raised the important issue facing Medway Hospital, and hospitals across the country, of obtaining appropriate FM licenses from Ofcom for hospital radios. Hospital radios provide vital support and comfort to patients and Rehman called for an urgent statement or debate on the matter.

Rehman hosts Medway City of Culture 2025 event in Parliament

Rehman was delighted to host a reception in Parliament for Medway's bid to be the UK City of Culture in 2025. Rehman had the opportunity to meet with key figures behind the bid, including local businesses and local government.
