Rehman intervened in the House of Commons debate on the Covert Human Intelligence Sources Bill.
Rehman stressed that the first duty of the state is to protect its citizens & that counter-terrorism legislation put through parliament has been designed with that in mind, irrespective of creed, colour or background. Rehman stated that the threat to the UK is both from Daesh-inspired & far-right extremists and this legislation is designed to protect all citizens.
