Rehman welcomes the announcement that The Howard School has been awarded more than £40,000.
The Football Foundation has given the school £41,146 to improve its grass pitches.
The award was made under the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund. Since 2000 The Football Foundation has awarded 13,000 grants worth £532 million into grassroots sports projects.
Rehman Chishti said:
"It is a testament to the excellent work of The Howard School that they have been awarded this funding and I congratulate the staff and pupils who have made this possible.
"I am delighted to encourage sports among young people, both as a keen athlete myself and as a vital activity for health and well-being. I have been heavily involved in encouraging young people in sport with my previous work as both a Parliamentary Fellow for Sport England and as Parliamentary Fellow for the Football Association."
