Rehman wrote to the Kent Police & Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott and to the Government regarding the recent concerning rise in dog theft across the country and in Kent.

PCC Matthew Scott responded to Rehman updating him on what Kent Police are doing to tackle this heartless crime.

Rehman was inspired by Animals Lost and Found to introduce his Cats Bill in 2018, which called for the compulsory microchipping of cats, as well as the requirement to report a road traffic accident resulting in the injury or death of a cat to the relevant authorities.).
