Rehman was delighted to play for the House of Commons Cricket Team against a Lashings World XI at Sutton Valence in Maidstone to raise money for Help the Heroes. Rehman had a successful day in the field bowling out the Former West Indies Captain Jimmy Adams and scoring 12 useful runs.
Rehman commented: “It was a terrific fun day and great to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause. I think the Commons team put up a good fight losing by just 40 runs.”
Rehman is a keen cricketer having previously played for Hempsted youth team in Gillingham where he got his best bowling figures of 5 wickets for 7 runs. Last year he also achieved 6 wickets for 44 runs at Rainham Cricket Club.
Rehman was able to get a signed (by both Lashings World 11 and Commons 11) Rainham Cricket Club shirt to be auctioned by the club to raise money for its new cricket pavilion.
