Rehman Chishti, MP for Gillingham and Rainham, has been “inundated” with letters from parents complaining about the way the 11-plus was conducted. Delays were experienced at 2 of the 9 test centres in Medway.
Rehman told BBC South East Today that he has asked the local authority to carry out “a full investigation to ensure that pupils were not disadvantaged”.
Rehman also wants the local authority to consider letting pupils sit the 11-plus test at their current primary school, in familiar surroundings, which can only be in the best interest of the child.
