In a virtual sitting of Parliament, Rehman paid tribute to frontline public sector workers for their amazing work during Covid-19 and asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Michael Gove, if he agreed that those convicted of spitting, coughing, or otherwise threatening those workers with Covid-19, should face an immediate custodial sentence.
Earlier in April, Rehman signed a letter, along with other Kent MPs, calling for this.
