Rehman has launched a petition calling for Southeastern Trains to introduce fairer refunds.He wants Southeastern to follow the example set by another franchise to automatically refund commuters whenever their journey is delayed by a few minutes.
Rehman has won his campaign to toughen sentences for disqualified driving.The Government has announced that it will increase the sentence for motorists who cause death whilst disqualified from driving, in line with Rehman's proposals.Rehman introduced two Bills in Parliament to strengthen the law for motorists who drive whilst disqualified.
Rehman has been campaigning for tougher sentences for motorists who persistently drink and drive.The Government has now announced a review of all driving sentences which will include drink driving.In Parliament he introduced his Drink Driving (repeat offenders) Bill, which would allow courts to lock up drink drivers for up to two years.
Rehman has raised concerns about the use of armed drone strikes in foreign countries, including Pakistan and Afghanistan.Whilst drones have the potential to protect our armed forces, Rehman believes that we need to ensure that there are adequate safeguards in place to prevent civilian casualties.
