Rehman attended the official unveiling of the new Rainham Platinum Jubilee sign alongside Cllr Martin Potter, representative for Rainham North on Medway Council, Councillor Jan Aldous, The Worshipful The Mayor of Medway and Colonel (ACF) Chris Gilbert DL.
Yesterday evening, following the announcement of the Windsor Framework, Rehman thanked the Prime Minister for his constructive engagement with our EU counterparts.
Today Rehman head to the streets of Rainham to meet with local residents and discuss their immediate concerns. In a less formal setting than a traditional surgery, it gives residents the opportunity to chat with their MP.
Rehman was delighted to meet with the Chief Rabbi, exiled from Russia. It was a brilliant opportunity to hear an insight on the internal situation in Russia.
Having spoken to Sarah Forshaw KC, and following Sir Christopher Bellamy's independent review last year, Rehman asked the Minister when the Government will be appointing a new Chair of the Criminal Legal Aid Advisory board as a matter of urgency.
Speaking on BBC South East, Rehman covered the Gillingham Levelling Up Bid. Medway Council put forward an excellent £20 million regeneration bid to breathe new life into Gillingham High Street.
Rehman raised a question today to the Department of Levelling Up. He shared concerns regarding how the Levelling Up funding was allocated, with the £20 million Gillingham Open Lines Bid being unsuccessful. The Minister will now visit Gillingham to look at our need for future funding.
Rehman joined the local Conservatives team to promote the good work the Conservative council has done across Medway, whilst also offering constituents the opportunity to speak to their MP directly.
